　　Since 2008, Hunan Steel has been using iron ore from Fortescue, with both parties jointly exploring iron ore supply channels. Data shows that iron ore supply has now hit 100 million tons.

　　To commemorate this significant historical moment, at the comprehensive strategic partnership workshop between Hunan Steel and Fortescue on September 9, Mr. Gus Pichot, CEO of Energy and Growth, Fortescue, and Mr. Li Jianyu, Party Secretary of Hunan Steel CPC Committee and Chairman of Hunan Steel, exchanged commemorative trophy marking the 100-million-ton iron ore supply. Together, they shared the joy and honor of this achievement.

　　At the comprehensive strategic partnership workshop, Li Jianyu remarked that reviewing the 17-year partnership between the two parties, Hunan Steel was one of Fortescue’s earliest partners in the Chinese market. In 2008, when Fortescue began shipping iron ore to China, Hunan Steel became one of its first customers in China. In 2009, Hunan Steel made investment as a strategic investor, becoming Fortescue’s second-largest shareholder and transforming the partnership into a deeply collaborative "business community." Last November, both parties launched Green Iron project in Changsha, marking yet another upgrade in the cooperation. Moving forward, it is hoped that both parties will work together to build a global leading example for green and low-carbon development, explore innovative cooperation models in related fields, and achieve in-depth synergy and mutual benefits across the entire industrial chain.

　　In the address, Gus Pichot stated that Hunan Steel has been both a driver and a witness in Fortescue's development journey. Whether through its strategic decision to become Fortescue's second-largest shareholder in the past or its current collaboration with Fortescue to embark on a green and low-carbon transformation journey for the steel industry, Hunan Steel has always firmly stood alongside Fortescue. He expressed hope that both parties would take this comprehensive strategic partnership workshop as an opportunity to build an even stronger partnership and advance their collaboration into broader fields, deeper levels,and higher standards.

　　The workshop was chaired by Yang Xianghong, Vice Chairman and President of Hunan Steel. Over 30 people were present the workshop, including the executives from Fortescue, Hunan Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China, XCMG, and other organizations, as well as leadership of Hunan Steel and colleagues from relevant departments and subsidiaries.

　　全麵戰略合作研討會分設了產業鏈業務和鐵礦石業務研討，雙方就進一步在鋼材生產、設備製造、運維服務等方麵的合作，建立長期、穩定、高效鐵礦石供應保障體係，共同探索資源開發、物流優化、綠色供應鏈建設等進行了深入討論。

　　During the comprehensive strategic partnership workshop, there were two sessions in parallel: industrial chain and iron ore sales and marketing sessions. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on further collaboration in steel production, equipment manufacturing, and operation maintenance services. They also explored measures to establish a long-term, stable, and efficient iron ore supply guarantee system, while jointly examining potential cooperation in resource development, logistics optimization, and green supply chain construction.
